Dr. George earned her B.A. from Stanford University and her M.D. from the University of Nevada School of Medicine in 1986. She completed her general surgery residency at the University of California, Davis-East Bay in 1992. In 1993, she shifted her focus to colorectal surgery, completing a year-long residency for colon and rectal specialization at Schumpert Medical Center, Louisiana State University.
After spending six years as an attending surgeon at the Kaiser Foundation Medical Center in California, Dr. George transitioned to private practice as a colorectal surgeon. In 1998, she moved to Anchorage and established Alaska Colorectal Surgery, where she continues to provide specialized care to her patients.
