• During this 15–20 minute appointment, you’ll review pre-op instructions and have the opportunity to ask any questions.

• n the day of your procedure, you’ll meet your doctor right before the colonoscopy, providing another chance to address any concerns.

2. Meet with a Surgery Scheduler

   • Schedule a 15–20 minute appointment to review the procedure details, go over preparation instructions, and address questions.

3. Verify Your Insurance

   • You will need to contact your insurance company to verify benefits.

   • At your pre-op appointment, we’ll collect a deposit based on the information from your insurance provider.

   • Please note: We are not contracted providers. This means the amount we bill may exceed your insurance company’s “usual and customary” or “allowed” amount.

   • For patients with "100% coverage," a $100 deposit will still be collected.

To ensure your procedure goes smoothly, please note the following:

• Post-Operative Transportation

  • You must have a responsible adult available to take you home after your procedure.

  • Taxis, ride-shares, or buses are NOT considered adequate transportation per facility and anesthesia policies.

  • Patients without proper transportation will need to reschedule their procedure.

• Lodging and Transportation for Out-of-Town Patients

  • If you are traveling to Anchorage for your procedure, you are responsible for arranging your own transportation and lodging.

  • If you’re unsure how long you’ll need to stay in Anchorage, please consult with your surgery scheduler for guidance.
